Ten new residential developments for older people are currently being built in the province of Malaga.

Senior Housing in Spain -  Sol Andalusí
Housing for older people is being built in the municipality of Alhaurín of the Torre, named “Sol Andalusí Viviendas Saludables” (literally: Andalusian Sun Healthy Houses). The building company is Agroman, and the high-quality housing project is expected to cost 42 million euros. Its many services will include medical, health, restaurant and beauty facilities.

Sanyres Group in Benalmádena and Marbella
The Sanyres Group is also building two other projects in different municipalities. The first of these is in Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmádena, and will cost nine million euros to build, with a surface area of 9.196 square metres. The second is in Marbella, and this development, covering an area of 9,120 square metres, is expected to cost 10 million euros.

Vitania Group
The Vitania Group is carrying out a project in Mijas, the first phase of which will cost 150 million euros. It is scheduled to open in the spring of 2007. The basic concept behind this project is the range of services on offer that benefit all the home owners, all costs being included in the community fees. Some of the services available will be 24-hour medical assistance, urgency medical service, general health service, computerised health record service, annual check-ups, cleaning and maintenance of community property.

Cooperative Society Sol Dorado - Andalusia
The Sol Dorado Cooperative Society of Andalusia is building a residential complex for older people in Pizarra, with an investment of about 16 million euros. It will have 200 apartments, as well as housing for 80 disabled people. The surface area of the apartments will be 10,270 square metres, on a total surface area of 21,365 square metres built, with 35,820 square metres set aside for roads, terraces, swimming pools, garden and other areas.

Senior Residence Complex - Vitalis Park
The Vitalis Park Senior Residence Complex is being built in El Rincón of the Victoria, scheduled to open at the end of this year. Its services will include integrated 24-hour security, 24-hour medical service, a ‘wellness’ centre with a rehabilitation swimming pool, a gymnasium and fitness machine area, massage area, sauna with vapour baths, Jacuzzi, restaurant and cafeteria with home-delivery service and much more.

Juvigolf complex
In Vélez Malaga, specifically in the south west part of the municipality, the Juvigolf complex is being built, with a investment of 90 million euros. The complex will have 1,046 housing units.

Villanueva del Rosario
And finally, a residential development for older people is being built in Villanueva del Rosario. It will have a golf course, a four-star hotel and 1,000 housing units, including detached houses, semi-detached and apartments.
