Puerto Marina is a real tourist trap but a place that can be enjoyed by all age groups. However, it is not until you reach the harbour area that the real charm of Puerto Marina hits you.
Puerto Marina does not seem very exciting when you arrive, but do not let that fool you. It is easily accessible and easy to find somewhere to park the car. So far, so good.
Puerto Marina offers beautiful architecture around the water-front, which can house 1000 yachts. It is possible to walk the whole way round the marina in the shade. The shops have got everything from African wood sculptures to mini-motorcycles for children.
Children in Puerto Marina
There is a whole section of the marina set aside for children to play. There they can be strapped in elastic bands which enables them to jump up and down on the trampoline without risking injury. It is very entertaining to see how the children react in different ways to jumping 2 - 3 metres up in the air ... without their mother.
Restaurants in Puerto Marina
There is room set aside over the quays for restaurants, and they are lined up. The potential customers walk from restaurant to restaurant until they find one that is living up to their expectations and has got the right seating position. If you get there early, or reserve a table, it is possible to sit and overlook the sea and the marina whilst eating.
They have a good American burger in one restaurant and a French gourmet meal in another restaurant. The choice is yours.
