Every year 1st September Torremolinos is celebrating the tourists

Torremolinos celebrates the tourists every year, and this year was no exception.

There were parades marching through the town, where the Torremolinos band played and girls in spectacular flamenco dresses handed out flowers.

The parade was followed by an official reception with free sangría, paella and Malaga wine for everybody in the center of the town.

There were parties in the streets all afternoon, and in the evening it was rounded off with a big show in the bull fighting arena where some of Spain's most famous bull fights took part in the bull fight.

Ironic enough the tourists have little positive to say about the bull fighting and the suffering of the bulls, and Spain is slowly adapting. Barcelona has banned bull fighting and many other areas are looking into changing the activity in line with portugal who now has bullfights where the bull is not harmed.
