Cerros del Aquila - the urbanisation
Cerros del Aquila is an urbanisation with 900 units. All properties in Cerros del Aquila has a number, so the address (and number) gives a clear indication of the age of the property. The newest villas have numbers in the 900 series.
Cerros del Aquila has a large community area with pool and tennis courts. Most of the properties or apartment complexes have their own pools. In addition there are shopping facilities and restaurants in the urbanisation. This is a place to enjoy life with little effort...

The beach is faily close, and should you want to "walk on the wild side", then Fuengirola is right at the coast and Marbella is only 10 minutes in taxi.

Shopping and cinema is located conviniently right outside the Cerros del Aquila urbanisation. The large center Myramar has a Eroski supermarket and cinema showing films with the original speech.

Cerros del Aquila - the beginning
Cerros del Aquila is in the country side, however only a couple of minutes drive to the beach. First entrepreneur was the Dane Torkild Christensen who with great succes started building in the area. It is still seen as popular place for Danish and English.
Cerros del Aquila is an urbanisation with all facilities. The Danish origin can still be felt, as the Danish are well represented in the area, only the English are more.

Driving to Cerros del Aquila
The exit from the motorway N340 (the old coastal road) takes a very sharp turn, and there is no advance warning when arriving from the Fuengirola side. So reduce speed when you see the castle (Castillo Sohail) at the coast. Reduce the speed to approx. 60 km/h and take the small exit just after the bridge.
It is somewhat easier from the Marbella side. Take the exit to Fuengirola Castle and continue down under the motorway bridge towards Cerros del Aquila.
