Costa del Sol Golf
Some of the worlds most famous and best courses are on the Costa del Sol – often refered to as “Costa del Golf”
You will find that a lot of famous golfing names are accociated to some of the different golf courses.
Robert Trent Jones designed one of the finest which is Valderrama. The 1997 Ryder Cup was held here at Valderrama Golf Course.
Another well know golfer, Seve Ballesteros runs the Los Arqueros Golf which is in the hills near Benahavis.
Depending on which golf course you choose on the Costa del Sol you have all sort of different experiences and terrains ahead of you.
Generally speaking, the more upmarket courses are west of Marbella, where some of the large millionaires villas overlook the golf courses: Aloha Golf, Los Naranjos and Las Brisas.
Almost all the golf courses demand a handicap certificate and in the high season for golfing it is nessesary to book tee-times in advance to secure a game.
